So I got this unit about a year ago, and it was last in my Infiniti G35. Took it out and installed it in my S2000 now. Everything is hooked such as
Ignition 1, Ignition 2, Accessory, Constant 12v, Trunk Pin, Trunk Release, Door Trigger, Extra Shock Sensor, Hoodpin, Siren, Starter Kill Antenna, and it's grounded from the h1 harness. It's all soldered away and tucked, followed the wiring diagram on the main page and no blown fuses.
This is probably my 5th Viper 5901 install.
I cannot figure for the life of me why the unit won't respond to the valet, or even the remote. It's getting 12 volts just fine, and everything grounded works. Could the brain just took a crap on me after a year?
Another thing to add is that I'm using a slightly smaller gauge wire for the heavy gauge wires. Would that really affect the entire alarm? It's hardly smaller, just figured I mention it.

Which BLACK/ white wire? The Domelight supervision?
I now notice that the door trigger causes my domelight to have a very dim look to it. Even with my door closed, unless the car is on then the domelight will turn off.
I was reading the S2000 wiring diagram, turns out they had the door trigger mixed with the domelight wire. So I swapped it around and fixed it. And no the BLACK/ white domelight supervision wire is not hooked up.

The BLACK/ white wire I'm talking about is the neutral safety input and it down not go to the dome light it goes to ground it's a ground input and it only goes to a ground signal

That nss wire has no bearing on your problem i can assure u, have u verified with a meter, power, ground, and no voltage on the pink heavy gauge wire with the key off, and 12volts at the on position, and are the antenna connections sound, was the remote functional before??

I verified that the pink wire is showing 12v when key is placed in on position. And I am still having the same problem as the OP. I have no indication from the Control center that the unit is even on.

Yeah checked everything, it's all sound. Doesn't respond to the valet. Tried grounding the door trigger manually, no bueno. Called a local audio store they said it sounds like my brain is fried. Anyone ever have this happen to them before?
