Individual import from the US is probably OK but it can't be legally sold, bloody EU rules.

In England and the other "advanced" Euro areas, Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey, DEI rules.
England also has Code-Alarm.
We (the UK) are about 10 years ahead of Europe in installation engineers.
Southern Europe, Spain, Greece etc. Only Italian plus fleabay and very few installers.
Any 900mhz product seen would be private import.
I've only installed one and he brought it back from a Caribbean holiday.

Audivox and Viper/Python (the same product) are good.
Crimestopper 6000 meter = approx 4 miles? In your dreams.
In the real world, buildings, trees, terrain, power lines, police/fire/ambulance/taxi transmitters about 200 meters.

Only the ones I mentioned.
Steelmate, their other products are now quite good and their technical staff (in the UK) very good.
Spy Rubbish
Carvox Rubbish
Excalibur Don't know, US/Canada only.
Carvox Poor man's Compustar trouble.
CrimeFighter, never heard of them. Do you mean Crime Stopper?
Avital, entry level (i.e. poor quality) DEI.
My views reflect what I've read on these forums.
Don't forget whilst you might have very good workshops and installers in Spain the product knowledge is about 10 years behind the UK.
Clifford and then DEI had their European headquarters in the UK and we got the best products and back-up first.
I've tried installers from Germany and they were rubbish!
I've actually travelled to France Belgium Switzerland and Spain on installation jobs! No local talent available, Spain was Marbella, not exactly a small town.

Can't get Compustar* in Europe, also they would have to make the receiver quad band GSM/CDMA Eric.
We are 900/1800 on GSM 3G and 700/1800/2100 on GSM 4G.
*Unless in the near future you buy it from me!
For your info, the Firstech unit for Mercedes is around $700 TRADE here.
