Hi all,
I installed a remote start in a 2012 Jetta. Everything works and no check engine light. When I put a scan tool on it I get fault code 3444 Implausible signal. I called tech support for the evo_all and they said I had the wrong firmware. I updated the firmware and same thing. To solve the problem I uninstalled the evo and used a 555u so there would be no can bus communication and I still have the same problem. If I start with the key I dont get the code, remote start and the code comes up. sorry for the long first post but Im pulling my hair out at this point. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

sounds like you may have missed one of the main ignition wires. a lt of times a car will start and run even if you miss a wire but because that wire normally powers something, the car might be interpreting that missing power signal as something being broken or maybe a main fuse is blown. new cars have sensors on everything so its easy to cause a fault code for minor mistakes.

I connected to BLACK/ purple ignition wire @ ignition harness. I'm not aware of another ignition wire.
12v - RED / yellow @ VESCM
Starter - RED / black @ ignition
Ignition - BLACK/ purple @ ignition
Accessory - BLACK/ red @ ignition

can you see any other wires at the ignition harness? maybe there's a wire that is not mentioned in the diagram. sometimes they leave wires out that arent necessary for the car to start and run but if there are more wires at the ignition harness then obviously they must do something.

pur/yel (SS1), pur/blk (SS2) (push-button start).
Resistive.
Start system button, 4 pin plug, pins 3 and 4.

Hi,
I did power the ACC BLACK/ Red @ ignition. I could be wrong but I believe the second starter is only for push button cars.

No, you're quite right, just trying to cover all possibilities.
