Hello,I have a F250 2001 and installed a viper 7504 alarm. What i need is for a trigger set up so when the tarp cover is removed at any rear corner the alarm will trigger, I have tried using the trunk -trigger and a couple of reed switches and magnets glued to tarp, but it wont trigger if both are not done as one is still earthed and one not. I tried diodes to isolate them with no affect. Any ideas, Sorry about spelling I'm an Aussy.

How are you wiring the reed switches? I don't have a manual for the 7504 but what input are you using for trigger?

All circuits should be verified with a digital multi-meter prior to making any connections.

Check your wiring, diode separated with the band to the switch, wire to the blue wire at H2/19 either grounding should trigger the alarm.

N.c. Mag/reed switches will work for this. It sounds like your using n.o. Mag/reed switches.
