Just installed a remote start (prostart ct-3471tw) with a pljx bypass mod. Just have the start function set-up, working ok.

Need to know how to turn off RAP (Retained accesory power) after doing a remote start ready mode.

I guess I need to pulse a door switch inorder to turn this off. Its a standard trans so I could pulse the passenger door (so it doesnt disable ready mode)

could I do this through the trunk release, lock/unlock button on the remote?

Anyone done this yet?

You can pulse the driver door pin with the factory alarm rearm wire. (-) gray/black at the door pin switch. What are you referring to by saying remote start ready mode?

Since its a standard trans I have to put it into "ready mode" (engine running, park brake up, hit button on remote, turn key off, engine stays running get out, close the door and then hit the button and it will shut off the car.) its now in ready mode.. But if I pulse the driver door pin I believe it will take it out of ready mode, thats why I was going to pulse the pass door pin, with the trunk release button I think.

The wire for the trunk release on the remote start it  a - trunk output, and I'm not sure if that will short it out.

The remote start has  a (-) rearm output, also now I see. So if i put that to the - grey/black door pin switch I should be ok?

By standard do you mean auto or manual transmission because it sounds like you are doing a manual transmission takeover.

Did you wire the remote start to monitor all the door pins or just the drivers door?

Does the radio shut down when only the passenger door is opened? If so, connect the (-) rearm wire to the passenger door pin. I have had issues with locking the doors because of the rearm wire connected to the door pin.
It all depends on the timing of the lock output and the rearm output so the vehicle doesn't think you are locking the car with the doors open. If the radio shuts down and the timing of the lock and rearm outputs are correct this will work.

I just hooked the rearm wire to the driver door pin. I might switch it to the pass door pin one day.

With it hooked to the driver door pin, if the lock button is pushed while the car is in ready mode it will take it out (start module thinks the door was opened)

But thank you for your help.

This is the way I wire up the car.. plus the rearm wire to shut off rap. (the poster didnt talk about rap here)
