2013 nissan frontier code alarm ca6554

I wanted to add that the harness is not connected to anything. It has 5 wires and one pin hole is empty. I ran a 12 volt lead to the parking light up front and it powered all the exterior parking lights. The dash will not light up though. One install diagram said it was pin 4. And was red. When you turn park lights on by switch it shows red with logic probe. I never though parking lights would be my downfallmin life.

The Nissan parking light wire you speak of in the trailer harness is the one I usually go to for + p.lights and it works real good. If your r/s isn't outputting 12v then there is a jumper that needs changed, a wire that needs to go to 12v constant to output during r/s or a feature that needs changed. I am not a code alarm user, definitely not familiar with your peticular r/s.Advanced

I think there might be a WHITE/ red that needs to be 12V+ constant sourced, i.e. join to a red.

I fiinnaly got it. I was looking at the dash lights. They dont come on in this particular vehicle. I did my xterra and my camry the dash lights came on. Thats what was confusing me. Installers are under rated..its hardcwork. Have a happy thansgiving fellows.
