2015 Chevy 2500 Work Truck Add Keyless Entry

A friend just got a new work truck (2015 Chevy 2500 ext cab work truck with service body/rack). He said the truck has power locks, but no keyless entry remotes. He doesn't care about an alarm or remote start. Only keyless entry. Can I add a simple aftermarket keyless system without using a bypass module? Or are the lock/unlock done through the databus? Or would it be easier to purchase a factory remote keyfob and have it programmed at the dealership? Thanks.

You can easily add an aftermarket keyless entry. You do not need a bypass module as the circuits are available at the BCM. There are no provisions to add a factory keyless entry on those trucks.sparky
