I'm also having trouble locating the wire that I need to hook into for the trunk release. This car has the power deck lid.
Thanks
Jeff

I know it says red wire at drivers kick and that is a5 wire bit on bulldog site says it's in the trunk of vehicle has power deck lid. This car does and there is no red wire there. My question is how do I test for the correct wire?

Bulldog says red, but the diagram pdf says purple / YELLOW from trunk pop switch. Check with your meter and see.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Sorry for not replying sooner, for some reason I thought the trunk had an opening motor too, and I didn't want to only give you half an answer.
So, it looks like you should be able to get that wire at two places.
You can try in the drivers kick, should be a red one. You won't find a connector, you'll have to dig in that "14A005" Harness.
Also, in the trunk on the left side, is the Power luggage module. Red wire there too, Grey 17 pin, Pin 8.
Now, this wire is a (+) signal though, so you'll have to use a relay to change it. I'm assuming your start's is a negative. I didn't check.
Use your meter to check. Red probe to suspect wire, black probe to ground. Correct wire will show +12V when trunk release button is pressed.

Thank you and I now have a different problem. Last week when I worked on the car I could get it to remote start. Now all it does is flash the lights when I try to remote start it. I haven't changed anything except for I have hard wired the bypass

Disregard, newbie mistake. Had to set the tach to voltage. In trying to fix the issue last week I had reset the banks.

So I don't need to do the 5 wire as shown on bulldogs site. Also I found a red wire that blips a positive when i push the trunk release but does nothing when I press it to close

Since that RED wire is going into a module, it's probably resting at ground. Do a 5 wire.
Where are you testing the wire at? How long is the "Blip"? 1 second? .5 second? It doesn't take long to trigger a solenoid, so even though you hold the button down, the module probably only outputs for less than a second.
