Hello everyone, i have a 2008 Prius to do a remote start on, i'll be using the ALCA the install does not look to difficult however my question is Idatalink said to use two relays and 5 diodes to do the doorlocks ,i looked up the specs and it says the lock an unlock are straight negative trigger or are they something different ? Has anyone done this car and can explain what Idatalink is refering too?

You'll need 2 relays and 3 diodes to do the remote start. Then you'll want to do unlock with your remote start fob, cause the oem won't work during RS. You'll need 2 more diodes for the unlock part of the install. Hence the 2 relays 1 for brake, 1 for the keyport, and the 5 diodes. Just follow the diagram, very simple install. Just did one today, the top part above/around the wheel comes off, lots of room there.
