The ground is where the star bolt is located near the driver kick panel. For right now, we just wrapped the wire around the star bolt.

I read somewhere that on other remote start models, they had to program from manual to automatic transmission system but the manual for my alarm didn't mention anything about manual or automatic transmission programming. There is also a hood pin that I didn't install but this should be optional and shouldn't prevent the system from working.

Make a decent connection, using a ring terminal to that bolt and make sure it's a bolt not a screw.
4105 very basic, never sold here in the UK, all the DEI product I deal with comes pre-set for manual you have to change the programming to auto.
I just looked at it, it's for auto only.
Out of interest assuming yours is auto, do you have to press the brake to start the car?

No, I just turn the key and the car starts.
I checked the ground again and it's pretty solid.
I'll take pictures of each wire just to make sure I have everything connected properly.

Have you soldered your connections?
Also check all the outputs to make sure it's working, starter, ignitions, etc.
I've done a few of these, UK built and been around since about 01 here, never really had any problems with them, essentially a no brainer.

Here's the DEI guide, says it has an immobiliser:-
https://www.directechs.com/VehicleCompatibility.aspx?p=-1&v=1971&ps=1&s=0&c=0&pr=-1~
Undo steering column cowling, check to see if there's a plastic enclose antenna around the key end of the key switch with 2+ wires coming from it.
If so you'll either have to sacrifice a key plus a 556U box or use a DB-ALL 2 etc. pre-flashed for your vehicle. Frankly it's the first thing I'd have looked for.
See if it starts with the key in the ignition, if so that's your answer.

I have not soldered anything. Just wrapped everything around the wires and taped it. I don't believe I have immobilizer as there is no plastic enclosure around the key. Let me try remote starting with key in ignition.

There are 2 small green wires for the brake on the car side. I only connected one of the green wires. Should I connect the brown from the remote start to both green brake wires? Will that make a difference?
