Sorry I missed your post. I will try it. The brain is easily accessible. I do not know how to apply a ground pulse on the unlock lead. Does this simply mean shorting the unlock pin to ground with a test lead briefly?

Yes, unplug the harness from the alarm, then briefly apply ground to the unlock wire at the pin on the harness that connects to the alarm.
