Door Unlock Problem, 1999 Dodge Ram 1500

Chances are the connection where that green wire connects to the vehicle is faulty. That means you need to cut that butt connector out of the vehicle wire, clean all of the electrical tape Gook off of it, extend it if neccessary, reconnect the green wire to that wire. When you grounded that wire earlier it should have unlocked the doors.

I traced the wire to check it and replaced it with a new one but no change. I found that it led to a set.of relays so I switched the 2 relays and now the remote will unlock but not lock it. So its pretty safe to assume that the relay is faulty, so I'm going to buy 2 new ones tomorrow and replace them. Relays are siemens vf4-45f11 SPDT 30/40a 5 contact.

Replaced the relay and everything is back to normal. Thank you to everyone for all the trouble shooting advice.
