I agree with you...I wouldn't want to have to program this sucker again. I mean, it was fun installing everything, but getting it to work was mind boggling. None-the-less I acquired knowledge and hands on experience on installing the system and the device.
I'm actually running the Valet 552T. I got ripped off on Ebay. Bought it for $75, said it was new. Once I got it the main harness was used and cut up, the unit and remotes showed scuff marks, and the antenna, remote start ribbon, and door lock harness was missing. It took me 2months to track those parts down. I totalled up everything and sad to say I could've bought a new one.

I'm not 100% sure on this... after programming the bypass module I proceeded to bundle up the wires and hide the units beneath the dash. In order for me to do that I had to extend the ground cable. So I cut it, therefore interrupting power to all the units. When finished the first thing I did was test the remote start. Well...it actually started. Hope this helps.
