That's not the right location. The plug is located at the rear of the fuse box. The plug that you have there is more than 20 pins as well from the looks of it.

You can permanently disarm the OEM alarm but eventually it would drain your battery because it requires a (+) pulse to a 470 ohm resistor.

Okay well thats no good. I finally found the harness that had the dark GREEN/ orange, GREEN/ orange, and light GREEN/ orange. i can tell which one is the dark green, but the other 2 look almost exactly the same color. i tried cutting the one that is second from the left, to see if it would keep the door locks from working, but when i plugged it back in the alarm went off - and it wouldn't cut off with the key like normal, so i had to strip back that wire and reconnect it before it would let me disable the alarm (boy was that fun with the horn honking right in my ear the whole time). am i correct in thinking that cutting the right wire would not set off the alarm, just disable the key locks from working? i'll try the other GREEN/ orange next...

by the way this is a bulldog rs114 remote starter. they told me today that i didn't need to use the relays for the door locks because it has them builtin and to only use the resistors. i haven't actually hooked this up yet because i want to get the remote start working without setting off the alarm first. is it possible this unit also has the relays already for the factory alarm disable wire and i can just use the resistors?

thanks so much for being patient and helpful jeff!

by the way, one more question. since this is just a remote starter and it only has a factory alarm disable wire - would i need to hook it up so that it can disable and also enable? if it only needs to disable, can you tell me how to hook it up - like if i need just 1 relay and the 470 ohm resistor.

If you want it to only disable during remote start, then just use one relay and the 470 ohm resistor. If Bulldog thinks that the current from their remote starter's door locking output is sufficient to engage the (+) pulse for the Chrysler's system, then do it without a relay. The worst case scenario is that it will not work.

yah i guess i only need it to disable during remote start and if it needs it, during remote unlock. i guess i will go try the other GREEN/ orange wire in the morning. hopefully it will work *crosses fingers*

does it sound like i tried the wrong wire since it set off the alarm after i cut that one wire (the one i thought was light GREEN/ orange)? by the way if i need to hook it up with just one relay and the 470 ohm resistor, how would i hook it up - like what going to what pins?

sorry for being so much trouble jeff, i have some money, but not much and would like to pay for your time helping me - would you prefer me to donate the money to this site or through your site? guess i can buy a wiring diagram from your site (even though i don't think i need it at this point).

erinh, wire the one relay like this: http://www.velocitymotorsport.com/images/install_notes/143.jpg ( use the relay on the right ). The value on pin 30 will be 470 ohms. No need to pay for this support, if you would like to, just donate to this site, but please do not feel pressured in doing so.

okay i will try that now. i am pretty sure i have the right wire now because i tested again this morning - and this is the only GREEN/ orange out of the 3 in that harness that change voltages when i lock/unlock with the key.

i am going to try hooking it up with a relay and resistor like you said inthe above post - but i was hoping you could tell me if i have this right... scared of damaging something...

87 & 86: to 12v constant (going to use the same wire in the ignition harness that i used for the rs's power) - what rated fuse should i use?

87a: not used

85: to factory alarm shutdown wire (FASD) (-) from remote starter's harness

30: to a 470 ohm resistor and then connecting to the light GREEN/ orange wire on the bottom of the fuse box
