I tried to install a DEI remote start on this vechile it, but it starts and then dies right away.  I got my wiring diagram from DEI.  The Passlock II bypass seems it be working fine, the Anti-theft light doesn't come on at the wrond times.  I did not use the data-bus mod. because I'm using the lock motor as a positive pluse to active the unit.  Also there was a keysense wire listed as lt. green, I found two lt. green wires, but I could not tell which one was the proper wire.  Could that wire not being hooked up cause it to die right away?  I've heard that there maybe be a third ignition wire that needs power??  Any help would be great! Thanks.
Matt

I got the tach and wait to start wires  from another installer that I know in town here.  I'm using a DEI 555L for the passlock II.  I put the key and tried it in run position and it still died right away.  If I just turn it really quick while the unit is cranking it will run, and stay running even if I take the key out.  Also the DEI unit dianogic is telling me it is shuting down from "low or no RPM".  Even though, when I programed the tack it took right away.

sorry about all the posts, I keep noticing more things.

David you posted:

Accessory:

   Orange
Ignition Switch Harness (Hot in run only)

The heavier gauge orange wire that I used, for Accessory, was hot in the run and with the key turned backwards. (I'm pretty sure that is what it tested, but it is not here right now)  Do you think there is a good possiblity that there maybe another orange wire that I should have used instead?

It's your Passlock bypass that's not working properly then from what you described in your response. Double check all your conections and post what wires you used for the Passlock bypass.

I think that it is working right, becuase the anti-theft light only seems to come on at the propper time.

I used the ORANGE / balck wire as the passlock ground reference.  When I was finding the yeallow wire, there was two of them, so I cut the one that I thought it was with the key on.  As soon as I did that, the Anti-theft light came on, I used that yellow wire.

you may need to use the 456G module cause if i remember correctly there is also an ignition kill as part of the OEM security..it shuts down the ignition circuit...i've used 555L and 456G on these and never had any problems at all
