BumpNglow,
If looking for less expensive just stick to a thermal 3 terminal flasher. For upgrade to what is here look towards getting an electronic 3 terminal flasher. I once saw a electronic flasher that had a built-in Pot for adjustment. I personally would like to have one that gives out double pulses.
The more changes you make the more the cost to make. And there will come a time when the cost will be high enough that you might as well buy a premade unit.

Chase,

Is 87 or 87a being spliced to the light wire?

87 goes to the light
in converting from .bmp to .jpg the drawings loose their clearity. Sorry.
I'm in hopes that the12volt will take my sketch and redo it and post in in the Diagrams.

BumpNglow,
terminal flashers?
I think what you need to be looking for is a (3)three terminal, Thermal flasher. (wagner #537, 12 volt, 3 terminal, thermal flasher)
or
a three terminal electronic flasher.

Chase,

I followed your diagram to the T but it does not alternate the headlights on my 86 Grand Prix. It just flashes both lights at the same time. Any ideas as to what the problem may be?
