I went to the electronic supply and to auto supply store and they are charging from $9.99 to $19.99 for 30a spdt relays. They are .89 at parts express.
hmm ok
I have some question on resistors.
It asks for a 867 ohm and a 364 omh resistors.
Now i know it doesnt come in those values. So do i need to get multiple resistors to come up with that value. Or do i get a resistor that is close to that range, like an 860 ohm for the 867. These are 1/2 watt resistors or 1 watt?

Yeah if you get close that will be good enough. Like 860 and 360

you need 1/2 watt 5% tolrence

This is my first install. I have been gathering much info on everything i can find that associates dodge ram with viper 791 for the past 2 weeks. I tought i was ready so i went outside and attacked the beast. Right now the beast is mauling me to death. Ok enough of that.
I bet this post will be very informative to many other people that come to the 12 volt for the first time
I want to learn this. Im reading tons of books and plan to attend some king of MECP classes etc.
Bellow are wires that are troubling me so far. " i will have more i bet"
Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 2 door
Viper 791 vx
Primary Harness
H1/1 Orange (-) gorund-when-armed output
H1/3 WHITE/ BLue remote start (-) activation input
H1/4 BLACK/ White (-) 200mA domelight supervision output
H1/12 RED / White Channel 2, 200 mA (-) output <-- accesories?
Secondary Harness
My truck does not have factory alarm do i need H2/1 and H2/2
Oh i also have the 530t window module im having trouble getting trough the plastic clip. Any ideas?
Your help is greatly apperciated.

Thx mods for moving it to this thread.
Trying to figure this out.
H1/4 Black White (-) 200 mA domelight supervision
From what i understand i need to use a relay for this
85= H1/4 BLACK/ White
86= + 12v constant fused
87= Domelight supervision polarity (+) or (-) <--- where do i get this one from
30= i use the door trigger?

Problem H1/4-
87- needs to be ground i guess its asking for the domelight supervion polarity since my door triggers are negative , im guessing i just ground that out.
I also went to google so im going to try this relay setup http://www.commandocaralarms.com/downloads/domelightsupervision.pdf
I figured out
H1/1 Orange (-) gorund when armed ouput is for when you add a window module for like the 530t or for like an electro luminescent armed indicator light.
H1/2 WHITE/ Blue remote start (-) activation input.
Im still stumped on this one. It looks like im suppose to use this wire to a switch that looks like the program
switch and the other wire to ground.

This wire will engage the start sequence if is see a (-) pulse from either a switch or an external device like an alarm channel.

Hey thx for the reply.
Installed the alarm. Time to clean it up now.
Remote start works perferct, 2-way is transmitting, Shock Senor is working.
Problems.
Parkin Lights and headlights dont work with the alarm. I used the BLACK / YELLOW wire. This is a single wire system. Parking Lights need to see a ground(-) trough a 330 ohm and headlights need to see a ground (-)trough a 700 ohm.
I siwtched the internal jumper to a (-) ligh flash output on the alarm. Used a relay and wired like so
86- +12
87- ground
85- H1/2 White (+/-) selectable light flash output
30- BLACK / YELLOW
My left door trigger is not working, but my right one is.
Maybe i tap the left door trigger into the right one.

So i found out the BLACK / YELLOW is a (+). There is a wiring diagram that says to use the purple / YELLOW at headligh switch. Im going to wait for reply if not ill try that purple / YELLOW wire

I always use the purple / YELLOW. Keep in mind, its ground thru a 330 ohm resistor.
Can you describe how you hooked up the door triggers?
