not headlights... parking lights....you want a wire with 12 volts only when the PARKING LIGHTS are on.....

i dont know how to make the parking lights come on.  are they on when the car is running and in park?

pull the headlight switch one notch, that should turn on the parking lights only (with dash lights).. go look...are they on?  the second notch/push/pull on the switch will activate the headlights... you want parking lights only
