It will tell you what the value of resistance that the resistor is. If it is more then 10 percent off what you need or it should be then find another resistor. When you do this make sure that only one hand at most is touching any part of the resistor or you will get the resistance of your body messing the reading up.

i've got a 99' dodge intrepid and i used the diagram from this site to wire the module and it didn't work, every wire is the same as the diagram except there's a pink(to accessery wire) on it. i used the starter kill wire to activate it. does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be?
