Yes, it is by default. I don't use that feature because I don't want to wear out my locking mechanisms twice as fast. You may also want to disable the Nuissance Prevention Circuit because someone can set off your sensors 3 times and then have an hour to carefully get in your window and do whatever they please.

I'll do that. My shock-sensor doesn't respond to ANYTHING when we rock the car ... Any suggustions on making it respond? :)

It won't do anything if you rock the car. You would need the tilt and motion sensor for that.

First off, the sensor should be mounted to something solid that will transmit impact force. Second, you set it so when you hit the car with an open hand, it sends warn chirps. Then hit the window with a sideways fist, fairly hard, and this should send full trigger alarm.

Which way should I turn the "dial" on it? And, it won't respond to rocking the car at all?

Clockwise is more sensitive. It won't do anything if you rock the car. It is a dual stage impact sensor, not a tilt and motion sensor. Where did you mount it?

Mounted it in some tray behind the glove box. Its decentlly secured, shouldn't go anywhere, and the tray is mounted to the firewall. Where's the best location for the sensor (for best sensory)

Usually the steering column or any other solid metal part you can get to. It needs to transfer the impact vibration to the sensor. I once tried to mount one with double sided tape which gave it "suspension" so it did not work  at all. Securely mount it to something solid.

I had to experiment with locations because my car is dynamat x-tremed from front to back so the body is very "dead" vibration-wise. My best location was tie wrapped to my shifter housing inside of my centert console. Most people mount them to the metal part of steering column.

Alright, I'll use the firewall itself. That should give perfect viberations. That, or the sidewall of the car.

I didn't know the automatic lockings would ruin the lock mechanisms.  How do you shut it off?
