There are lots of good meters on the market today. Fluke makes a large number of meters that are used by pretty much everyone in the industry. You don't have to get the most expensive or even a clamp meter. Just one that will do ac / dc / continuity and resistance. They can be found at Electrical wholesalers and Electronic Supply stores. A good basic meter is the fluke 7-600 or 12B if they are still made.Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
