What do you think about their installs on pimp my ryde?   Do you like what they do ?

I get mad when people that have nothing to do with the industry say that they are the best at what they do. If you know anything about the industry you know that there are a lot of intallers that will put them to shame.

I'm not too keen on their ideas with some of their installs. Most of the time it's pretty much bling, but no real use for the stuff they install.

there alright to much hooptie stuff for me. yhe thing that sucks is they take all these old $hit cars and they but some paint useless bodykits on them and usually sound systems that really arent high quality like xplode and cheap stuff...and after all this is done the engine in the car still barelyy runs.

I bet you guys are just pissed because xibit hasnt show up to "Pimp Your Ride" yet! LOL West Coast Customs -- posted image. I am just kidding. I think the work is probally ok, and you have to remember that since they are getting everything for free, they arent gonna start using focal and quart anytime soon. I had to laugh because in the one show they used Audiobahn and Xibit said something along the lines of "Thats what I got in my ride so you know its good" all I could think of is that some salesman did a damn good job of selling the gear because it sure didnt sell because of its merits. OK now its time to cue everyone who owns audiobahn to come on here and write back how thier stuff is the bomb and how the went to a competion and hit 150 db with their 2 subs running on 3600 watts of mind numbing power while their crome flaming baskets gleam in the sun as if to say look at me, I am not sh*t, in fact I am the opposite of sh*t, I do not suck at all. Whatever. WOW that was kinda more hostile than what I had intended :)

It also helps to have like 16 people on the car all at once.....
And no budget.....
And one big plug for WCC (free advertising -- well paid for by MTV)
They do great work, and have fun. I am suprised that the brands they put in don't get more recognition.
I love hearing how the people on the show say they took a $1K car and put $25K into it. I am sure the $25K is at top MSRP, but not nearly what it costs them.... Car isn't worth that afterwards either.
Another thing they don't tell you is that not 24 hours after the car was completed, it has already been vandalized or stolen or wrecked!
My $.02...

I agree that if the shop I am in had an unlimited budget and enough people to fall in on a job and everyone know what they are doing and concentrate on what they do best and stay outa the other peoples way...I think I could turn out some really phat rides....

On a side note I do no like all the crap they install that is only for show...All the wasted monitors and crap...If its in my car I better be able to get full use outa it...I am a simpler person and do not like all that extra junk they throw in purely for show...

I like my installs simple looking yet complex and clean....I also try to get them to be as functional as possible..

And yes Audiobahn sucks balls....

I'll agree w/ everything everyone's said.  Yeah a gold '89 Mustang (or any other normal production car from 1989) is kinda.... uh "strange" for lack of better words.  But look at the name of the show  "Pimp my ride".  Not "take all this money and do good things to my car", like put in a full JL bass system w/ MB Quart components and a 11 inch touch-screen dvd player, then put on a custom cameleon paint job that is also radar/laser reading resistant (that s#%* is awsome).  But not everyone is as bright (or money efficient) as us guys here.  Oh well.  I'll just keep watching and sigh when I think of how much better I would spend that money.

BTW Audiobahn does suck.

All I have to say is that I hope that thier 12V installer is playing it up for the camera. Other then that the stuff they do is pretty stupid, but what do you expect from a show on mtv?
