What do I do if the orange second ignition wire isn't an ignition wire? The only orange wire in the ignition harness drops out during cranking. There are 2 pink ignition wires coming out of the same place.
Do I really need a second ignition? If I do, could I hook the primary ignition to both wires on my alarm?
Thanks for all your help,
Thomas

sometimes there are two wires that are the same......some wires will drop out during starting so that all the power will be sent to the starter.....if you dont wire up all of the ign. wires, then you may not have the a/c working or someting else in the van....
Good Luck

So I should hook the orange second ignition wire to the second ignition wire on my alarm even though it drops out during cranking.

Yes....... as long as U know that is the correct wire, it won't affect the vehicle of that year

Thanks for all your help so far, but I have another question.
The driver kick panel. Is this the fuse block down by the emergency brake foot pedal?
I'm trying to access the door lock, unlock, and trigger wires. I pulled out one of the lock switches and found 3 wires. 2 of them are for locking and unlocking, but the 3rd is constant 12v. Could this the trigger wire, or could it be just a 12v constant for the switch?

You can access them in the Door Jam Boot or switch.  Or U can also go over to Passenger side, between Heater & Kick Panel and access the Factory Relays that R way up in the dash

if I tap in at the door jam boot, would that cause my keyless entry system to unlock just that door, or should it be able to unlock both?

Or would I have to tap into both door jam boots, and then combine the wires with my keyless entry system?
