Alarm voids factory warranty?

Sorry about the attachment I was going to post.  I couldn't simply paste it as you see in the comments above.  I'll see if I can find a link to it somewhere or get it to you somehow (I could e-mail it).  Basically it is a signed letter fromd the president of DEI in which he clearly states that their products in no way void warranties.

Obviously if the product was butchered in the installation and it fried the BCM then yeah I agree that the installer is reponsible.  But if it was a nice clean install then the dealer is in the wrong blaming the product.  When you buy a car often times there's a dealer installed gadget ...hood deflector, fog lights, alarm yet the vehicle remains warranteed.  Funny huh?  Often installed by a local performance or security shop. 

Ask your friendly neighborhood dealer to put down in writing how an aftermarket security system can fry an ignition switch as in your case?!?  Does he have photos as proof? Maybe it was caused by the non-GM gas you used in his truck!  No I got it!  It was the non-GM mud flaps!  Hey do I see a Mastercraft air filter?!?!
