remote start on 5 spd. help

you can override the clutch at the clutch switch.. usually, the starter wire goes thru it.. will have a key side and motor side.. just catch the motor side..

On a side note, we will absolutly NOT do this at my shop.. the results can cause thousands of dollars or death.  My only recommendation you do if you attempt this is to connect it to the parking brake and it will have to be on for it to start (has to actually stop the car!) If not, the car WILL start and WILL roll forward..  I don't know if 12volt remembers this, but I did this in my old Mazda truck in the shop and accidently hit the remote while working on it (I was laying on it) and it started and drug me a little until I ran into a bench.. Shop manager wasn't to happy and I was a little embarrased.. My brake was on, but it wouldn't hold the starter.

There is not a neutral safety switch that I know of on a standand transmission..

thanks for ur help, you said that the starter wire should go through the clutch? what do you mean by that? i don't see any wire that goes through the clutch, can someone help me more into detail w/ this?

If you know how to test polarity in a wire you should be able to test the switch on the clutch pedal to determine what you will need to do to bypass it.  Some clutch switches simply require a constant ground to bypass the switch.  You could do this by using a ground output when running.  This is not the only type of switch though, so you will need to test it to see how it reacts.  Find the polarity of both wires at the switch, then see which one changes when the clutch is depressed.  whatever that one changes to is what you will need to apply to it.  If it reads 12v+ at rest, and goes to 0 volts when the clutch is depressed then you can use the ground output from the RS bypass it.  You may need a relay.  

I have bypassed the clutch on a honda del sol.  The only hard part was getting to the wires above the clutch pedal.  I used the second ignition remote start relay for this and wired the parking brake with neutral safety

You can use the hood safty switch from the alarm and hook it up to the wire of the light that says your parking brake is on. That way the car will not start unless the brake it on. You have to use a relay to reverse it.

On my Neon, I just disconnected the plug on the clutch switch, and stuck a fuse in it for continuity.
