I just installed a BOA remote start and keyless bought from a retailer also. I was wondering if anyone elses has the parking lights flash after startup. Most of the other ones i have seen are on steady.

Is this normal? What might be wrong. It was installed on a 1993 Pontiac Grand AM.

The range was less than desireable also. I suspect this because the antenna wire is too short and barely clears the dash.

You can go to directeds web site and look under a rattler 165b for the instructions.

My unit will not click, program or do jack ????

make sure to pull the fuses each time before u go to program it.. and step a few feet away from the car.. i've gotten the install on these things down pact(yay for friends who dont pay me to install them!) its really not a bad unit for the $ i just dont get why when its hooked up to an aftermarket alarm the distance is killed.. makes no sense.. but whatever.. thank god they stopped selling them.. we got soo many complaints about it at best buy and people asking for help and its like it says diy we cant touch it and cant tell ya go to

I have installed the same unit and wanted to trigger it with my viper keyless and had maybe 20ft of range on a good day. tried just about everything from new car battery to seperate wires from battery and notta bit of difference in the range. i did recently uninstall it along with the keyless viper210hv and installed and ultra start 4255 and its like night and day compared to the boa in range. 2000ft comapred to 20ft with the boa.
