Just completed a 03 F350 with the same issues as it seems the 04 and 05 have. There was no wait to start wire that could trigger the glow plug delay and there was a tach wire in my vehicle. If I remember right it was a green or green white wire that is found above the e-brake release. It is held up by white tape and in a bunch of 5 wires that simply terminate right there. This was to allow a little more flexibility for expansion by Ford with accessories. Look close for it, drop the fusebox out of the way by removing the 4 bolts and it will be much easier to see.

For my wait to start I used a PAC TR7 as it was all I could get my hands on. I do not recommend that you use this infernal device as it was a B.I.T.C.H. to program and the instructions sucked blue whale. The DEI 528T module looked much easier to use but not having seen one I cannot verify this. It is toggled by the - disarm wire from your remote start brain and then it should give you an adjustable countdown timer to trigger the + or - wait to start wire on the brain.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

I have used DEIs timer on these, and voltage sense as well instead of tach. Works great.
