thanks for the insight haemphyst, are you saying that I should not attempt this without an additional amp though. I have only the kx800.4 to power the mids and highs, so if I were to keep the comps biamped, i have no power to send to the midbass. I was not at all dissatisfied with the sound of the comps before biamping, except for the lack of midbass, I did it more to learn and because I had 200 watts not being used for anything.

any thoughts on the choice,,,keep the system the way it is cos biamping is always better, or go three way with a little adjustment and single source the comps?

koda's are definately on the list, they are right on the price and seem to be a very nice midbass woofer, I don't think I could fit the eights, but I wish
