My JBL 600.1 has never heated up before so Im pretty sure if you go with JBL you wont have any heat up problems.

then he says "and series the subs" so 2 ohm and 2 ohm is 4 ohm...

how will that give you 2 ohms?  i think you have probably confused the guy.

ya, aeordude has that wrong. If you wire the way he said you will get a 4 ohm load.
