hi
I'm trying to put an amp in a 2000 taurus,,it has a premier system in it already,,I'm wondering if I can use the wires going to the amp that's in it now,,if so what color are the constant and the switched wires,,,I already have the speaker wire colors

Get a digital multimeter to test for them, they are not hard to find.

I really wouldn't think that the wire in that factory harness will provide enough current to supply two amplifiers, the best thing to do in this situation is to run new wires for your aftermarket amplifier.

Ya the constant and switched wires wont be sufficient to run an after market amp. Run new wires and be better safe than sorry.

Thanx again for the info guys,,,,,I did notice the wires going to the stock amp were pretty thin,,,,
