i've had a vampire car alarm 4040 model car alarm and remote starter combo installed in a 91 eagle talon last week. everything  was done by the book and everything, but when i disarm the alarm and take offf to drive the alarm will arm its a minute after i disarm it while i'm driving down the road.  when i disarm it i dont get the two chirm sounds i should get, just the flashes and thats it.  everything else works fine the remote starter works great.  what is their to do?

Make sure that the ignition wire is properly connected and make sure that the switched ignition wire that you got from the Eagle was infact a switched power and not a constant. Another ting is to make sure that the automatic arm is programmed off, but I would check the ignition wire first.

Check

  • ignition wire for true ignition
  • Check your door trigers
