Not disagreeing with the post on the next guy being a safe driver, but I would still like to be able to edit my NAV while driving . I do a lot of towing and being able to switch routes when a customer cancels is nice..There are a
lot OF US using these units for Work.

Unfortunately Pioneer deemed it unsafe to be able to edit/search addresses while driving. Unfortunately it affects those who rely on the nav for business but we are the few. I personally see it as a reason to stop for a drink.

I use my N2 for work probably as much if not more than anyone(4 State Territory). Yes it will be a setback at first, but after a while I will probably get used to it. Keep in mind that Pioneer will not be the only company going to this type of lockout. Pioneer is one of the trend setters, not followers. The other 4-5 companies will get on board and follow suit on this very soon. The thing that makes this bad is people have become programed to rush, rush, rush. Everything is on the go. When I am travelling I hit the drive thru and eat while I drive. Phone call? One of my 2 cell phones. We don't take time to stop anymore and it is the way of life for most of the working class. We are always on the go and don't like the fact we have to stop, or in this case pull over and program our new or next destination.

Congrats. Did you actually bypass it or did you do the rear out into the camera input?

I would say he put the rear output into the Reverse cam Input....

Pioneer pretty much sealed this one up...At least for a while...Eventually someone will find a bypass for it....Its just like everything else...It was created by man so it is falible....

Yo, duramaxkiller... What's the scoop? I am figuring that you can use the rear camera inputs for the video. How are you tricking the unit into thinking it's in reverse, or does it matter? I just bought the system and I have been holding out on installing it until I find the bypass route. I did speak to AAMP and they only have the bypass for the AVIC N1.

I would also think that there is some way to "Downgrade" the software to the N1. Anyone know?

Please do tell...
