Dude you said you wanted one sub. ONE.
If you said you were willing to consider pairs, you woulda gotten a TOTALLY different response.
I would HIGHLY recommend getting a pair of woofers.. 1000 watts to a single woofer is so horribly inefficent... I hate single woofers systems. I betcha you'd be happier with the 2x12's. I mean, I traded a pair of Infinity Perfect 12's for a single 13W6 and I have serious regrets. =/
Yea man, if you're going to double up, those subs look like a great way to go. I like the totally flat black cone on the soundsplinters.. I went to the website prepared to make fun of them ("Soundsplinter" has got to be the most retarded sounding brand name) but the woofers actually look okay. 25mm XMAX and the magnet structure and all that look pretty fierce.
They list all the TS parameters, have you tried modeling it up in WinISD?

since i already have 2 infinity perfect vq's, what if i get 2 more & run 4 10's off the pg titanium amp? do you think this will sound better then 1 xxx or 2 sound splinter 12"?

Not exactly...

Let's compare two xxx tens against a single 15.

A single 12" XXX has an 86 db sensitivity rating. Adding a second woofer would make the combined sensitivity 89 db (with 1 watt). The XXX 15 has a sensitivity rating of 89 (88.7).

They would be about as loud probobly, except the 15 could play a little lower. You wouldn't have to have as big of a box as the 12s would recquire either. I'm not sure on the pricing of the xxx subs but buying a single 15" XXX is probobly going to be cheaper then buy two 12s.

All in all, I don't think it's really worth it to buy two 12's over a single 15.
