Actually 2 friends of mine both had bad experiences with infintity amps. Not so sure if they were the new model's or not.

The other thing that I don't like, the power rating that you see on cardomain are dynamic not rms.

I just looked inside the port of the Alpine compound reflex box. It's weird... It has slot port that goes the depth of the enclosure (it's on the left side of the box) and then two circular ports connect the slot port to the main part of the box (where the actual subwoofer is). Does anyone know what this design would be called? Here is a drawing:

It looks similar to this sixth order box, except the woofer is mounted on front instead of inside the box.

hmm...has this type of box been around before alpine used it with their Type R subs?

I dunno, i would assume so.

Would an Alpine MRP-M350 be a good amp? I might buy it off of ebay, unless I can get the local dealer to bring down the price a little.

I have it, and it gets loud as hell. Sounds like more than 1 sub. Yeh it has two circular ports about 3-4 inches that lead to the outer rectangular port. Is the m350, 350 watts?

i would look at an ultra linear amp...i just picked one up..pretty amazing amp...it's class x amp..cost me 250 for a 1000 wrms @ 1 ohm..u can buy 2 and bridge the amps together and got 2000 wrms @ 2 ohms..i seen some cheap 600 wrms ma audio amps on ebay too.

Sorry I should have gave a link to it. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-dICvlAHP2Ea/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=130&I=500MRPM350 And it supposedly does 350 watts continuous at 2 ohms.

It would sound good, but even more watts would be even better! I have 550 going to mine and it sounds great.
