Personally I would never buy any piece of equipment that I would have to redo my car's suspension. Also realistically what would the size of the box be and how much power would you need to power that beast? If I can find anyone that I know that still works at mtx I might run by and try to get a picture of it.

I saw them use the jackhammer on Pimp My Ride tonight...I watched just so I could see the sub....Gotta hand it to mtx for creating a Monster like that....

They had to build a Steel support system just to hold the thing in place...They were using a cherry picker to put it in the car...

I dont have the money but I would love to buy one just to play with it...Even if it sounded like Crap you know that you could do an install in a show vehicle with that and it would turn heads and get your shop some recognition...

^^^Yeah saw it. Only hit 100db with over 6000watts pushing it. But they were running it free air in the car.

Someone should wall up a panel van and use this sub. I bet that would sound badass then.

I was able to see one at the last car show I was at "Hot Import Nights"   It is frickin huge!   I know I will probably be able to see one in action in october, at USACi world Finals.   I have called Mitek for pricing, and they have told me that it is not in production quanity yet. All MTX distributers around my area (Midwest) have said that they dont even expect to see many of them hit the market.

Yeah, my Mitek saleman said that I'll be #260 on the list for Canada if I order one for the shop. He also said to get it to RMS watage you'll need to use 2 MTX 92001 amps ( strapped together ) just to get it to 6000 watts. That's only the RMS rating for the sub !!

Here's a link... it was discussed after it was seen at the CES this year...
Personally, a 6000 dollar, 320 pound woofer in a 2500 dollar 1100 pound car car seems a waste to me...

It's actaully 369 lbs MTX 22'' Jackhammer - Page 2 -- posted image.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

How about a listing of ALL the T/S parameters... please include *linear* (please, NOT mechanical) Xmax and Le.
