Malibu's, come on now. I put on of those in my leer jet and blew the windows out and twisted the frame! They make those Audiobahns sooo good these days. I hear they are going to make one called the KROMED0UT-PIECE-O-CRAP (80") SVC that can hit 450 db's in a pickup!
lol

Cerwin vega stokers used to be really good for spl but then when I was more into this stuff when Hifonics still produced killer amps about 10 years ago. The stokers I am sure will still pound with a good powerful amp with a properly built box (Some things never change)

If you want really loud, and somewhat clean......here is what I would say to go with
3-4 Kicker L7 12's    around $200or more each
2-3 KX1200 amps.    you can find the older amps on ebay for 250-300 each
Large alterntor. dommonick Irragi will have one for $350-$400
wires ect, battery,   $500-$600
this might be a little over budget but would be a killer setup

I'd have to agree with jeff. Can't go wrong with Kicker. I went from 2 comp 12's to 4 comp vr12's to my current setup, 2 L7 12's on a VR1000D wired at 1 ohm. Stock battery, 3 farad cap, and it hurts. If you want people to hear and feel you bass when you drive by, go with Kicker. But I'd have to recommend a sealed enclosure with about 1.3-1.5 cu. ft. per sub. That's just my personal opinion though.
I got my both of my kickers (brand new) for $382 shipped. I paid $525 for my amp, and don't remember how much my cap costs. I did the box myself, all the wiring, everything. Ok, I'm done bragging, good luck and let us know how it comes out.

Kicker is still garbage for SQ. Plus i don't need roaring bass outside my car. The music is to be enjoyed by the people INSIDE the car IMO. You bought the equipment, don't you want to take the full brunt of it?
Here's a real system lol
Nakamichi CD700II
3 15" JBL WGTI15
1 A3000GTI amplifier
2 sets of 608GTI components
1 PX300.4 amplifier
Dominick Iraggi Alt
Optima Battery
0 gauge wiring
That is a real system. SQ and SPL.

Now give an estimate on total cost of your system.

I would say some kickers with 1000w rms would be a great way to make people get out of your van! They would be super loud but you wouldn't be able to tell what you were listening to. Not to mention the tickets you would rack up for noise pollution, disturbing the peace, and just plain playin a crappy system too loud.

alrite listen. you have plenty of money to do what you want to do. go with memphis. 4 15in power reference subs in a ported inclosure. and go with a memphis 1000D amp or any other amp around 1000 to 1200 watts rms. this will set you back about 350 bucks for all 4 subs and around 300 for the amp. if you want even louder go with 4 15in M3's and a memphis 1500D amp. these subs will be about 900 for 4 of them and the amp about 600.
