when u push on the "sections"of fiberglass with ur thumb.if u u have good rigidity than u have the right amount of layers, but if it is still flexable then its too thin.maybe a little more elaboration from someone would help, lol,im not good at describing things.

You use your thumb to apply pressure to sections of fibreglass, if it flexes then its going to flex if air was pounding against it from a sub.  It it dosnt flex it usually all good.  You should be able to stand on ur fibreglass boxes aswell.  My last sub box could hold about 80Kg or aboout 160lb of weight (me standing on it) without even flexing so i knew it was going to be heaps strong

Well I didn't get done sanding over the holidays as I had hoped but I am still working on the box and as soon as something else exciting happens I will post some new pics.

A couple of new pictures, not much to see. I still have to finish smoothing the inside part of the cones. That area got kind of wavy since I had to glass it from the outside. I am going to paint it black so I have to get it really straight.

that is vary different design. im gessing that you made it so that the sound that comes out the outside is reflected in the derection of the dish shape very ingeniuse. good use of space and shape. brilliant!
