Hey guys, long time no see. My friend just picked up some MTX subs (no idea wtf they are), and he's looking for a 1500wrms (or about) amp. I was looking at the RE 12.1, they say it's highly underrated and runs 1400-1500wrms. Any ideas? He's not quit sure on his budget yet, so anything's possible!

I suggest the 1501D from MTX. We sell these to customer's that pair it up with dual 7500 12's or 8500 12's. The single 9500 15 " take all the power this amp puts out !

i suggest the Hifonics BX2005D.  It is 1300W at 2 ohms and 2000W at 1 ohm.
That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

Where can I get an MTX 1501D? And what's the power output?

And Hifonics is overrated and is crap, IMO.

I thought Hifonics was a pretty good amp company?

"Pretty good". They're alright, but he doesn't want something that cheap.

I'd rather have my Hifonics than an MTX

How do you back up this statement? Where are your premises for your claim?
