Is it possible to utilize the remote start on the viper 791xv and not use the starter kill?  Reaon I ask is because my starter kill sometimes engages when the alarm is not armed.  So, I cannot start my car with my car's key.  I was thinking of doing the following:

Disconnecting the green wire (that goes to the key side of the starter wire) and reconnecting the vehicle's starter wire that was originally cut.  This way, the vehicle's starter wire will be uninterupted (so the car will always start with the ignition key) and remote start can still be activated because the purple wire from the viper alarm is still connected to the vehicle's starter wire)

sure you can do that... you will lose the anti-grind feature as well......

put the factory starter wire back together and just wire the purple wire to the starter wire and disguard the green wire.......
Where theres is a wire there's a way.

Your starter kill/anti-grind should only be engaging when the alarm is armed or the remote start is activated.

you should be able to program the starter kill not to arm passively.

That sounds like a good alternative.  That will allow me to maintain the anti-grind feature.  Does anyone know how to make viper's starter kill to not arm passively?
