I have built both the ported and sealed boxes with l7's thet do not do well in sealed boxes . if u want to go sealed go memphis. my cousins 2 mojo 12s are hitting 151 in a eagle talon. But my buddys L7s were much louder in thr=e ported box than sealed, im talking night and day differance

Sorry for double my computer shut down. What kind of room do u have. You can put 2 speakers in a boxwith one port if space is tight with good results.

Use four l7s ported instead of six sealed. It will be as loud (if not louder) than six l7s sealed.

You should definitely go ported.  If you check past threads about L7's, then you will see most people agree that ported is the way to go.
That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

ok on the kicker site they have like different recommendation sizes for ported boxes. they have one that is titled compact. each sub wants 1.75 cubic foot. so i could do all 6 at that size. now would it sound good in this small of a ported box? and would it still sound much better than the 6 sealed in a bigger box? thanks

Oh yeah the compact ported will still give you more spl than the sealed.Talking from experiance i have put that compact box in a dodge stealth with on 12 and it totally walked all over 2 sealed 12s.   another thing ,does you amp have sub sonic filter? if  so make sure you use it on the slot port boxes it will keep your subs from blowing if you have major power.

i dont think it does have a sub sonic filter. it is a jbl bp1200.1  would a memphis mc1500D have one? i would run 2 to each of those.
