Hi, I have a 01 Malibu which I'm trying to install a Deluxe Remote Start/Keyless Entry system(23739) from DesignTech Intl.  I have everything wired and ready to go and when I try to inintalize the unit it does nothing.  I can get it to to turn on the instrument cluster and blower with the on/off switch, but it will not initalize.  I think it might have to do with the ignition 2 wire.  In the docs it says dk green but the colors i have are 2xorg,2xpink,1ltgrn,1red,1brown,1yel.  I tried the brown wire but I think it is an accessory wire.  Is the green wire correct, could it be my reciever.  Each wire was probed and the brown and green act the same.  I read on their site that sometimes hood pin doesn't ground, but I don't want to try anything until I know my colors are correct.  I have installed designtech before with the same bypass module and had no problems.  Thanks.

your car needs a bypass module to bypass the factory immobilizer

You could use a DEI product, the part number is 556L

that is what I got for your car

Where are you getting the ignition wires in the car?
You will find a large bundle under the driver's dash, which has most of the wires, but the dark green ignition 2 is not there.
The only way I know to get ignition 2 is to just get all of your ignition wires behind the keywitch, accessed by removing the radio. Don't unplug the radio unless you have the Theftlock code for it.
