Well I am looking to buy a new system....I want something that will hit hard but at the same time i dont want it to sound bad. I have decided (SO FAR) to go with 2 Infinity Reference 12"s, SPECS:

4-ohm, freq 23-400hz, Power range 60-300 RMS(1,000 peak), 93 dB.

My question is what size amp should i get.....i dont want to spend alot on and amp...Im looking for the 100-300 range... If you have any better subs in mind for me please post them....Thanks in advance

For the amp...  look for a continuos RMS rating of about 600.  Your question about subs, that all depends on what you want to spend.  Give us a price range.

That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

That's roughly the size amp you should use, of course you can go lower. Those subs handle 300 watts continuously. Not 1000. Ignore max wattage on amps and subs.

I was just saying shoot for about 600W RMS.  You should probably be using a a mono amp too.  You wire the subs in parallel to give you a 2 ohm load.  That will extract a lot of power from a mono amp.

That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

If you go with a 2 channel amp, get something that produces the most power in 4 ohm stereo or bridgeable to 2 ohm mono.. If you go with a mono amp, look at one that is optimized for 2 ohm mono operation.

There are many many amps available to you at low prices, just start searching for them.

the 4 ohm stereo specs are in line with the subs requirements. the only advantage to dvc subs is wiring flexibility.

What brand amp is that?
