I am going to be putting in valet 561r remote start in an acura tl 04. For the dei 556uw module, Can i just leave it on the default mode and hook up the power, ground, and status? Or do I have to switch settings and hook up more wires?

yes it only need 3 wire make it work that most easy way to bypass just use 556u

May need the green keysense wire........... depends if it likes seeing 2 keys at once or not.
