So, I have a broken AVIC-N1, and I know what is broken and needs to be replaced. The only problem is, I'm not an ASC and don't have the ability to order this part direct from Pioneer or obtain the part number so I can get it from a third party. The part in question is the main cable connecting the screen to the rest of the head unit. It has 48 pins by my count (36 to the main screen, 12 to the motors opening the screen) and here is what mine currently looks like: AVIC-N1 Part Number Request -- posted image.
No wonder the screen stopped working, huh? I would greatly appreciate it if someone out there could provide me with a part number. The rest, I can do on my own.

Well, I checked the diagrams and part numbers, but the one I need has no number. It's the ribbon that connects GGF1461 (PCB) to GGF1483 (PCB). It should be a part that starts with GGD, but I can't seem to find it.

If you ever find this part number.. please, please, please share it!!!! I think the this information is harder to come across than top-secret government nuclear info.
I gave up and sent my unit into the ebay guy to repair.... only a matter of time before the ribboin cable breaks again, I'm sure...

When you get the part, please do a pictured DIY instruction guide since lots of us will certainly have this problem down the road after the warranty is expired.

Well, I ordered the part awhile ago, and they said it'd ship on the 13th, and guess what....still on backorder. As soon as I get it, look forward to the writeup.
