I'm moving my two 12's from a van to a car trunk that will allow me only 5.5 cubic feet for my box. I've never attempted an isobarik but it sounds tempting and I like the WinISD calculated curve. Most info points to a sealed enclosure, but WinISD will figure for a port. Which is better and is it worth the effort?

At first glance that looks WAY big for an isobaric. The benefit of using isobaric loading is that you can use much less space, less than just one sub would take. See DYohn's response HERE. What 12s do you have?

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Kicker L7's. I would love to replace them one day with higher SQ subs, but they're cheap and effective. Thanks for the link, that was exactly what I wanted to know!

My wife will never understand why, lucky for her!
