Consumer Electronics manufacturers today build reliable products.  Nearly every brand that a local shop is selling is going to work well when properly installed.  Returns cost dealers money and if a line is showing them too many returns, it is GONE!  Compare Warranty and tech support availabiliy too when you are shopping.  If you buy one from Wal-Mart or a similar store, it is more likely to be a 'discount' brand and might not be of the same quality.

I do use Crimestopper, but there are MANY other quality brands out there too.  (Ungo, Codealarm, all of the DEI brands...Viper, Python, etc, Clifford, etc, etc, etc.

Good Luck!

we have had a couple lines in our store

Omega, Scytek, Fusion, DEi, Autopage, compustar......etc...

We exclusively only do Autopage and Compustar.  Omega was solid, but lacks the name brand recognition.  Scytek was junk.
