Hello everyone I recently posted a topic on significant ground noise, Now here is the weird part, when the Pioneer Avic N2 is connected there is no ground noise what so ever! everything is perfect, I hooked up the amps, when the rca's are connected to the head unit (NOT THE AMPS ONLY HEAD UNIT) there is only ground noise, once I connect the rca's to the amps then there is a the ground noise and also the headunits noise.... I am sorry should have included this in the last post. So I changed rca's and the noise was still there, I changed the ground point (head unit) and the noise is still there,  from what I have been hearing does this sound like something is wrong with the head unit? I even used a different amp and the noise was still there... could the rca outputs on the headunit be bad?

Are all speakers run by your seperate amp?  If so, read the grounding sticky.  It's most likely due to your head unit.  Connect your headunit ground to the amp ground, and try grounding the rca shields at both ends (head unit and amp).
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Well here is the whole deal.

I have a 4channel amp to power my normal speakers and a 2 channel for subs.

the head unit with no amps( NOTHING )just the headunit running my speakers sounds awesome. No ground noise NOTHING.

the minute I plug in the rca's INTO THE AMP there is ground noise in my speakers although my amp is not connected to ANY SPEAKERS! the minute I connect speakers to the amp there is a TON OF ground noise and also fan noise from the head unit

This unfortunately is a problem indicitave of a failure in the Pioneer head unit. Take the unit back and have the problem fixed.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
