Why not be safe and .....well SAFE, and get yourself a unit designed for a manual transmission, and install it the way it's supposed to be installed?

They are available...AST, Compustar, and of course Astroflex!

I believe Dare_ds69 was referring to the NSS from Pac/Peripheral that is an add-on to an automatic remote start. It makes the user go through the exit routine in order for the car to remote start. If installed correctly, can be just as safe as a manual transmission system.

ok well first of all I prefer going with clifford because they are a great company. Is there a way to wire the brake shutdown wire to a clutch wire. If so how would that be accomplished. I don't want to buy anything else for it. I know there's a way but I don't know it.

well I've already installed it so I don't want to change it now. But that's ok cuz I don't leave it in gear, it's rutine for me.

I just have a couple quick questions. I have a clifford matrix rsx 3.5 and a 1997 acura 2.2cl. I'm finally gonna start wiring up the remote start part, I've juss been too lazy.

my wiring schematic says that the

Purple- goes to (+) starter ouput to starter (starter side)

Green- Starter Input from ignition (Key side)

so does this mean that I have to cut my starter wire from my ignition switch and wire it through the alarm.

Pink- (+) output to primary ignition circuit

what does this wire do??

yes you gotta cut the starter wire in half. pink is the (dramatic drumroll) primary ignition for remote start. as in it fires up a lot of the stuff needed for the vehicle to remote start like fuel pump, etc.

use the e-brake to shotdown the car. and use the NSS because it is manual trans.

wont i have to use a relay to convert the polarity.

86 is the brake shutdown wire, 87 is the E-brake wire, 85 and 30 are ground.

Is this correct or is it a different way??
