Hmm... funny - I used a Hex Editor called HackMan to edit the file byte by byte. However,I never tried to edit it in Notepad directly. It might work - but I usually use a hex editor to avoid the possibility of anything changing on open or save (headers, formatting, text encoding, etc.) to be safe.
In the case of xL channels, you simply switch 'SquiZZ xL' to 'xL SquiZZ'. For the channels that changed names, like some comedy channels, changing the name didn't work. I will look into that.
Thanks for the UltraISO tip, by the way!

I set up a file upload/forum system at www.avic411.com
You can now upload files after you register.

Awesome dude!  Thanks a lot  Jason for setting up a upload/forum.  Great idea man!

Don't forget guys- if you make some custom wallpapers, maybe we can have a category for that on the site too!

I'll post up the edited XM file after I figure out the few oddball channels, if possible.
If we can figure out the PIM files, I noticed that XM changed all the logos, so maybe I can update the logo files with the new ones some day.

If you open up a PIM file in IRFANVIEW, it has color options.  However, the colors seems to be a little bit off - as if there was some offset built in.  The header is definitely 16 bytes, and I see 2 bytes per pixel (from the hex dump).

So Photoshop seems to treat the RAW file as greyscale, but IRFANVIEW interprets color.  Maybe if we can try other Graphic apps, one of them will interpret the file correctly?
