Thanks!

Couple of questions...

Does the Breeze have 3 ign. wires ???

I hooked up the correct wires but my key fob just won't learn???

I hooked up the blue/grey wire for tach should i use BLACK/ grey???

It is a 4 banger with no trunk release or door lock, should be a no brainer install but ????

Isn't he acc and ign 3 the same thing??? I don;t think i have 3 ign inputs PLUS acc. ??? Can I connect a couple of wire to the same input??

Thanks for any help, it was an xmas present and although I have hooked up lots of starters this one is peeing me off !!!!!

According to the notes you do have 3 ign. wires plus an acces. The 3rd ig and acces. control your heater and a/c and radio. Unless your alarm has outputs for these connections you will have to use relays to power them up.

You can use the BLACK/ gray for tach. Remember when testing this wire make sure that your dmm is set to test ac and not dc. When testing this wire you should see a voltage of about 1-6 volts.

It is a ProStart, no alarm on car, not even door locks, just want to start the car. My starter manual has 3 ign inputs, can i use the 3 ign input to drive the third ign AND acc. wire??

This is what I have for hte vehicle....2 IGNITION wires and 1 ACC wire to get the system going.:

|       ITEM      |     WIRE COLOR     |POL|       WIRE LOCATION        |

|              12V|red, pink/black *1  |+  |ignition harness            |
|          STARTER|yellow              |+  |ignition harness            |
|         IGNITION|dark blue           |+  |ignition harness            |
|  SECOND IGNITION|GREEN/ red           |+  |ignition harness            |
|        ACCESSORY|blk/orn & blk/wht   |+  |ignition harness            |
|       POWER LOCK|WHITE/ green *3      |+  |rear of fuse box under dash |
|     POWER UNLOCK|same wire           |   |                            |
|       LOCK MOTOR|ORANGE / black        |+  |drivers kick panel          |
|     UNLOCK MOTOR|blue/white          |+  |drivers kick panel          |
|    DISARM DEFEAT|pink/black          |+  |rear of fuse box under dash |
| PARKING LIGHTS +|BLACK / YELLOW        |   |dr kick or behind fuse box  |
|       HEADLIGHTS|violet/white        |+  |light switch                |
|     DOOR TRIGGER|yellow              |-  |front of fusebox *4         |
|  TRUNK/HATCH PIN|tan/black           |-  |driver's kick panel         |
|TRNK/HTCH RELEASE|BLACK/ white         |+  |driver's kick panel         |
|  FCTRY ALARM ARM|GREEN/ orange *5     |+  |kick or BCM                 |
|FCTRY ALRM DISARM|same wire           |   |                            |
|       TACHOMETER|BLACK/ gray          |   |coil pack *2                |
|       BRAKE WIRE|WHITE/ tan           |+  |at brake switch             |
|     HORN TRIGGER|BLACK/ red           |-  |steering column             |
|           WIPERS|dk. GREEN/ YELLOW    |+  |wiper switch                |
|  LF WINDOW UP/DN|lt. blue - white    |A  |drivers door switch         |
|  RF WINDOW UP/DN|brn/wht - ppl/white |A  |drivers kick panel          |
|  LR WINDOW UP/DN|blue/wht - RED / green|A  |drivers kick panel          |
|  RR WINDOW UP/DN|gray - GREEN / WHITE  |A  |drivers kick panel          |

Notes:

*1 When doing remote start red should not be used for main power. Use pink/black.  *2 6 cylinder signal on the V-6, 2 cylinder signal on the 4 cylinder engine.  If BLACK/ gray on V6 causes starter to drag, use any one of the fuel injection wires at injectors at front of engine and set to one cylinder. The injector wire will be the one that IS NOT dk.GREEN/ orange.  *3 Use positive (+) trigger thru a 620 ohm resistor to lock, and a positive (+) trigger thru a 2.7K ohm resistor to unlock. Must use relays.  *4 In a three (3) pin connector near the door jam.  *5 Lt.GREEN/ orange from drivers door or dk.GREEN/ orange from passenger or catch either at BCM located behind right side dash. Use a positive (+) trigger thru a 940 ohm resistor to arm, and a positive (+) trigger thru a 470 ohm resistor to disarm. Must use relays.

Thanks Jeff,

Not sure why I can't enter program mode ( to recognize remote ). It is a ProStart 3300, The car does not have power lock so I am not using the 12 pin harness as all customer needs is starter only. Now, does the acc. wire BLK/WHT AND BLK/ORG have to be connected together or do I just choose either one? Second there are 2 dark blue ign wires, one is about a 18ga one is about a 16ga?? Third should I use an injector wire for tach or the blk/gry at coil?

Thanks for any help you can give.

ProStart has had problems with the unit going into program mode. I have done 4 of these systems and 2 of them didn't go into program mode. I got the customer to bring them back to Canadaian Tire and replace the CPU and it worked with the other CPU. The two ACC wires need to be relay isolated from each other, but both require power to engage the HVAC system. Test the DARK BLUE wire to make sure that it is the true igniton wire. I believe it will be the larger of the two wire, but check with a DMM to be sure of this. If the BLACK/ GREY tach wire doesn't give you a clean or strong enough signal, then you should use the injector wire. The injector wire will be the one that IS NOT dk.GREEN/ orange.
